| At one time, the primary purpose of Starfleet was to “explore
strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civilizations” Then
the Borg and later the Dominion tested the Federations metal and forced
it to defend itself. Now that these threats have been neutralized,
and new alliances have been made, the Federation has once again returned
to its original purpose. On the edge of Federation Space lies Starbase
Frontier, the home of the New Frontier. Out there, amongst the stars,
lie new challenges, new places and new adventures. Once again, the
Federation will “boldly go where no one has gone before.” Starbase Frontier
orbits the planet Deltaria III, which had been ravaged during the wars
and abandoned. Now, the Federation has begun colonizing the planet,
and has opened it to the Allies. The New Frontier is charged with assisting
this new colony and exploring this section of the Delta Quadrant. |

| The New Frontier was born out of a vision
to take Star Trek Simming to a new level. Our goal is simple:
To provide Star Trek fans, and those that enjoy writing an opportunity
to experience the wonderful world of Star Trek first hand. We wanted
to create a realistic experience, filled with detail and structure, while
at the same time leaving plenty of room for personal creativity.
The New Frontiers focus is on character development and interaction; exploration;
and returning to the primary purpose of Starfleet, to "explore strange
new worlds and seek out new life and new civilizations".
Our base of operations is Starbase 14, under the command of Rear
Admiral Martin Mitchell, orbits Deltaria III, a planet on the edge
of Federation space that was abandoned during the wars. Deltaria
III is located between Federation and Breen space, approximately 45 light
years North of Betazed. In 2382 Starfleet Command decided to colonize
the planet and allow the Allies to send residents as well. The eclectic
mix of residents makes for some interesting situations from time to time.
A Planetary Headquarters is currently being built on the surface, but during
this transition the Starbase 14 personnel are responsible for overseeing
the colony and responding to any situations that arise.
Currently there are 6 ships in our fleet, each one a different Class.
Their missions are primarily that of exploring the unknown space in the
Delta Quadrant, and providing a Starfleet presence here.
The New Frontier is a Star Trek play by email simulation set years
after the Dominion Wars had ended. Our purpose is to provide a format
for those that wish to explore the galaxy, from the comfort of their home.
Beginners and experienced players alike are encouraged to view the site
and join us on what will be an incredible journey. The Administrative
Staff is comprised of experienced and dedicated individuals who believe
it is their job to ensure you have the tools necessary to enjoy your simulations,
but not to control them. We are constantly looking for new members
and welcome your inquiries about joining. We are also open to having
independent simm ships and/or groups join forces with us. Please
