ABG: Arterial Blood Gases; blood is measured for O2 content. Indications:
asthma, COPD, chest trauma

carbon-based life.
ACTINIDE: is a radioactive compound often found in uranium ore. Other
forms of that are common will be plasma fires.

carbon-based animal tissue, including humanoid tissue.

left to deal with medical procedure on his/her own, unless absolutely crucial
the CMO will not interfere.
Cortical Stimulator- Resuscitative device used aboard Federation starship’s.
CPK Enzymatic Therapy- Medical treatment to limit the extent of spinal

CPK levels- A medical test, CPK or creatinine phosphokinase, is a marker

DNA- Acronym for deoxyribonucleic acid, a complex chemical chains containing
the genetic codes enabling the reproduction of life on many planets. Virtually
every individual life form on such planets has a DNA code, which contains
information common to that species, as well as distinguishing information
unique to that individual. Because of this, DNA sequencing can be used
as a means of positively identifying an individual, although it cannot
distinguish between the individual and a clone.

by matching DNA patterns.

set of replication instructions, allowing the device to grow replacement

Glial Cells- More specifically known as neuralgia; tissue that forms
the supporting elements of the nervous system, which play an important
role in reacting to injury or infection. They are more specifically
known as NEUROGLIA; tissue that forms the supporting elements of

or infection. One can use weak electrical charges as bio-coded messages,
placed under the fingernails. If scratched onto another person, the
bio-coded message would then be transferred to the victim’s neuroglia
cells and straight to their brain, where this information can be stored.

Hematocrit ("Crit"): Measure number of RBC; decrease means hemorrhage

to aid rehabilitation of criminals. The neutralizer was intended to selectively
remove thoughts relating to criminal acts, but was later found to have
potentially lethal effects.

energy between neurones in humanoid nervous systems.

dilithium is exposed to intense matter/antimatter reactions in a starships
warp engine core.
TRIOLIC WAVES: are by-products of an energy source employed by
some planets stratosphere (lower atmosphere). The energy source has
deleterious effects on most living tissues, except for life-forms with
